I know what you mean about the world rushing by - it&#039;s very easy to feel like that with Twitter, especially if you follow lots of people or they tweet a lot.

The way I use Twitter is to dip in and out throughout the day and don&#039;t worry about reading everything. A bit like switching on the news to see what is happening.

The thing I&#039;d advise is to keep an eye on any tweets directed at you specifically - anything with an @ symbol before your Twitter name. You can do this in the @Replies section on the right of your profile page on Twitter.com or on any of the 3rd party Twitter apps.

It&#039;s always nice to be able to respond to these personal messages, it&#039;s what makes twitter social.</description>
