Regular readers of my blog will know that I set myself the challenge to read one book a fortnight througout 2010.
I think reading books is a great way to stimulate the brain, to spark new ideas and to solve existing problems. It’s also great to immerse yourself in someone else’s thoughts, to see inside their head and to relay that same openness into your own writing.
The inspiration for this project was Julien Smith, co-author of Trust Agents. I felt it rather fitting to start the year with his own book.
I’ll update this page throughout the year as I complete the books I’ve chosen. You’ll see a mixture of books on the list. Whilst there will be an onus on books that relate to areas of interest in a professional capacity, there will be a fair sprinkling of books from others fields, some factual, others fiction. Variety being the spice of life and all that.
If you have any recommendations of books to read, please share them with me in the comments. Thanks

EDIT: Okay, so I didn’t make it to 1 book a fortnight in 2010, but I’d like to think it was a good effort. Lets just say life caught up with me. Okay, caught up with me and jumped me in a dark alley. Okay, that’s going to far. Things got busy, really fast, especially in the 2nd half of the year. Nothing sinister or unfortunate, it was a great year.
I’m going to finish the stack of books I have piled up on my desk anyway – so not long to go now. Its a great challenge to set yourself, i’d heartily recommend it.
